From Newport travel up the dual carriageway A4042 which runs from Newport to Abergavenny and turn right at the Turnpike roundabout by the police station and near to the new hospital.

From Pontypool or Abergavenny travel down the A4042 and turn left at this roundabout. The turn is signposted Caerleon

A short way along this road there is a new mini roundabout near the new hospital. The first two turns go to the hospital, take the third turn to continue on to the road to Ponthir.

After about 1.5 miles you will then pass the 30 mph sign and the sign for Ponthir. On your right there will be the Star Inn and a child's playground/village hall. Candwr Park is the next turning on the left with bollards in the centre of the road. Turn left into Candwr Park.

Go about 50 yards up to the T Junction. Turn right and park on the road. You could turn left and park on the road but there is less traffic if you go right.

From Caerleon travel up the road to Ponthir. Just past the sign to Ponthir you will see the Ponthir Inn on your right. Turn right at the third turning on the right, there are bollards in the centre of the road. Park as in the above paragraph.
